I’m shocked and appalled like many other people at what is going on (or not, who knows with a media blackout…?) in Tibet.
I know this is off piste for Electronic Museum but I feel extremely strongly about this, and you should too. Web2 and museums aren’t terribly important next to human rights atrocities, hard though that is to believe…
Please go and spend five minutes:
1. Reading about some of the issues and history behind Chinese occupation of Tibet
2. Signing the FreeTibet petition or making a donation
3. Taking some form of action, either locally or by joining protest groups, online or otherwise
Last but not least, spread the word on your blog, via email, whatever else takes your fancy.

makes you all warm and fuzzy about the olympics, dunt it
I think the olympics this year is one of the few rallying points that we might have to keep China honest about this issue and Dafur as well. Otherwise I don’t see much potential for how we might push them into change.
I agree, Bryan. Interesting how the US line (“the Olympics are apolitical”) is being challenged in the media atm. Especially interesting given the historical precedent they set with the 1980 Moscow Olympics boycott…
you Pic show exactly what happended in Tibet – riots and violence – anything but peaceful demonstration.
Thanks for your concern upon Tibet. I can show you something as well!
In terms of the history of tibet:
